The Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church is calling to observe the following fasts as part of the process of electing the new Pope
+ A three-day fast on October 22-24
(For the election which will take place on Oct 29th)
+ A three-day fast on Oct.31st, Nov.1st, and 2nd
(For the sacred election by lot which will takes place on Nov. 4th)
This fast is from the 1st Degree as Wednesdays and Fridays. Thus, as Clergy and Congregations we will fast and pray that God may appoint for us a good shepherd to shepherd us in purity and righteousness, we’ll fast to show our unity and being one body with the church all over the world.
